About GCT



  • investigations Cal Herauf , the owner + operator of GCT  is a trained  Human Resources consultant who  offers his extensive work experience and knowledge to his clients. He has worked in the public, private and government sectors of the workforce. 

  • While a member of the Edmonton Police Service, Cal gained vast experience as a front line officer that later developed into a multitude of investigative, supervisory, and managerial positions.  He returned to university and successfully completed his Human Resources Management and Management Development for Policing Services Certificate.  During his last assignment with the Police Service , Cal was the  member in charge of the Employee and Family Assistance Section within the Human Resources Division.

  •  Cal transitioned into the private sector of the workforce where he further developed his Human Resources skill sets by working for a multi national  oil and gas service company  offering a full compliment of HR job functions. He traveled throughout Alberta , Saskatchewan and Eastern Canada  both as a Human Resources Adviser and  later as manager leading a team of Advisers and also supporting several business unit leaders. Cal worked and supported his company  through two  robust periods of activity  as well as two distinct periods of contraction.    

  • Following his work in the oil field, Cal joined the Government sector, working as a contract employee for the Alberta Emergency Management Agency  (AEMA) . Key deliverable s during his time at AEMA  involved "improving surge staffing capabilities" in times of emergencies; building on boarding processes for new AEMA employees and acting as the interface between operations and Government of Alberta Human Resources staff.

  •  Cal  is presently both as associate member of CPHR Alberta and member of Sherwood Park Alberta Chamber of Commerce.
